We would like to congratulate our first ever Jack Petchey Achievement Award winner, Lucy Greed! Lucy was nominated by members of the cast of Cinderella to receive the award after she rose to the challenge of playing the title role in the show. Youth members explained that Lucy had overcome big challenges during rehearsals for the show and had stepped out of her comfort zone. At the same time, Lucy continued to act as a role model and supported younger members of the cast. [I nominate Lucy] “Because she has shown such progress from the beginning of this show and to see her overcome her fear of singing in public needs great recognition. I’m so proud of her.”
“I would like to nominate Lucy mostly because of what she has become over the past few weeks. She’s put so much effort into being Cinderella this term that I think she deserves it. I also nominate her for how much she cares for everyone at Kyds as she’s certainly made me feel welcome!“
