In 2015, KYDS was lucky to be accepted onto the Jack Petchey Foundation’s Achievement Award Scheme.
Each year, KYDS must award 3 Achievement Awards – 2 in July and 1 in November. The award winners are chosen by the youth members in an open nomination process. Youth members are asked to nominate someone who has demonstrated outstanding achievement.
This could be:
- Overcoming a challenge (in or outside or KYDS)
- Helping others
- Being a good role model
The winner of the award receives £250 to spend on a trip or some equipment which will benefit all the youth members in KYDS.
